(Carson City, NV; June 3, 2019) – Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske reports an increase of 15,963 active registered voters statewide during the month of May 2019 as compared to April 2019. The total number of active registered voters in Nevada is 1,559,785, an increase of 1.03%.
Democratic Party active registered voters statewide increased by 5,542 (0.94%), and Republican Party active registered voters statewide increased by 4,633 (0.89%). Nonpartisan active registered voters increased by 4,619 (1.36%), Independent American Party active registered voters increased by 896 (1.32%), and Libertarian Party of Nevada active registered voters increased by 242 (1.56%). Active registered voters from a compilation of “other” minor political parties increased by 31 (0.23%).
Of the 1,559,785 active registered voters in Nevada:
• 593,936 are Democrats (38.08%);
• 524,095 are Republicans (33.60%);
• 344,066 are Nonpartisan (22.06%);
• 68,556 are members of the Independent American Party (4.40%);
• 15,728 are members of the Libertarian Party of Nevada (1.01%); and
• 13,404 are members of other minor political parties (0.86%).
