Important information on Personally Identifiable Information (PII):

Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is any information that permits the identity of an individual to be directly or indirectly inferred. According to the EAC’s definition, PII includes both direct identifiers (like name or SSN) and indirect identifiers (like birth date or voter ID) when used in combination.

Improper handling of PII can result in:

  • Identity theft
  • Loss of voter confidence
  • Legal liability or regulatory penalties
  • System vulnerabilities or data breaches

What can you do to Protect your Personally Identifiable Information (PII)?

 There are three different levels of confidential/secure voters and each of those are outlined below:

  1. Written request: Request to Withhold Address & Telephone Number from the Public | Nevada Secretary of State
